Step 2 – Download and install the latest version of Internet Explorer available for your computer’s operating system (OS). Many users have reported the iTunes Error 9006 goes away after upgrading from IE 6 to IE 8 or newer. Step 3 – Download and install the latest version of iTunes on your computer. Step 4 – Open Internet Explorer by double-clicking the program icon on your computer’s desktop. Step 5 – Open the “Tools” menu from the IE menu bar. Step 6 – Select the “Internet Options” menu choice and then click or select the “Security” menu tab. Step 7 – Choose the “Custom Level” option and enable all options that refer to downloading files. Step 8 – Change the “Custom Settings” menu option to “Medium-Low” followed by choosing the “Reset” and “Apply” menu buttons. Step 9 – Click the “Ok” menu button and restart your computer.
